Hi Folks! Well this will be the last newsletter for the year with Christmas just around the corner. I hope everyone has started their Christmas shopping and does not leave it till the last minute. Hope you all have a great month and are enjoying the summer |
|
weather. This little bit of rain is just what the farmers ordered, except they did not need it for the Summer Show on Sunday. Saturday was a great day though and I hope a few of you managed to get there to support Marian Burns and our own Carleen Still. I had an awesome ride on a new Jeep Rangler on the off road course set up by the Whangarei 4 x 4 club. Got a little sunburned as well. I am sure everyone enjoyed Garry Coopers return to the club as our November Guest Artist with some great Johnny Cash numbers to get the crowd going. We will make sure it will not be his last. That is about it from me apart from thanking you all for your continued support this year and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year. All the Best….Kim |

*Our very own Kim Copedo has taken the top Awards at the E.O.Y for his song writing skills and walked away with the prestigious songwriter of the Year title. Well done Kim!!
*As our break up is drawing even nearer I need to know numbers of children attending so that no one misses out on ideas we have for the day, please also bring a plate with something special on it for the afternoon. Santa will be in attendance during the afternoon, and we have items lined up for the children to enjoy. Please let the ladies at the back table know numbers very soon.
*On the 18th we would appreciate it if you would sing a Christmas song as this is the time of the year to do so, failing that try to do a country number as we are a Country music club. Maybe even remember to wear the Santa hat, makes it seem more festive and we can only do it once a year.
*Here is chance for you to participate in the club, do you have a subject we could use for a THEME on a night-time club, colour, artists, whatever. We are open to suggestions. Please let a committee member know.
*I would like to take this opportunity as newsletter editor to thank you all sincerely for your support over the past year. Am always open to comments regarding the input into this. Thanks to those who have given their time to help with the writing of it. A big thanks to our members who come along on a regular basis to support the club, without you we would not function, there are 101 things that help make us run smoothly and each one in turn is invaluable to us. A very huge ta!! To the folk who continue to bring along items for me to raffle, I really appreciate this. I do hope you all enjoy the time with family and friends and come back refreshed to face another year. For those of you travelling, take care and drive safely. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a bright New Year...BETTY |
